Two Great Student Animations

I know many of you have seen these at CartoonBrew, but they bear some repeat viewings. Two great animations out of this year’s SVA class. “Singles” by Rebecca Sugar is amazing in its density and simplicity. You don’t often see both those qualities in student work!

Next is Jake Armstrong’s “The Terrible Thing of Alpha 9!”

I like outer-space drawings. Also, it’s got a really, really nice color scheme that’s consistent, well thought-out, and very inventive. Yowza. Watch it over and over and over.
