Fran and Will Interview on CartoonBrew
Amid Amidi over at Cartoon Brew just posted an interview with Will and me about Upstate Four and the trials of pitching to a network. Worth a read if you’re wondering what we’ve been up to.

April 10, 2009Fran and Will Interview on CartoonBrewAmid Amidi over at Cartoon Brew just posted an interview with Will and me about Upstate Four and the trials of pitching to a network. Worth a read if you’re wondering what we’ve been up to. April 7, 2009Estonian Cartoons Online!Just what I needed! Today I noticed that two of my favorites from Estonia are viewable online. Ulo Pikkov’s “Bermuda”, winner of the Director’s Prize at SAFO ‘99, and Jano Poldma’s “On The Possibility of Love”. Have fun!
April 3, 2009My Favorite CartoonYesterday someone asked me about my cartoon influences, and I thought I’d share one here. Luckily, it’s available online. Amy Kravitz showed Mark Baker’s “The Hill Farm” in Animation II class, and I was amazed. This is the film that made me avoid dialog. Check out the layered steps of timing as the photographer gets increasingly close to the bear’s head. I wish there was a full version online that didn’t look like a second-generation VHS copy, but you can see a 30-second clip on Mark’s website.
