Spongebob is my Co-Pilot

superjail!

Who likes art auctions? I like art auctions. Specifically, the ASIFA Art Auction, run every few years by local ne’r-do-well Tom Warburton. The auction helps raise money for all sorts of ASIFA animation screenings and events around New York. This year, I walked away with a really cool shadow box from Bruce Knapp from his short “Keep this Coupon“, and an awesome drawing from Christy Karacas of characters from SuperJail. Not too shabby.

I bought one more thing, though, and it didn’t get to me ’til I was home for the holidays… the voice of SpongeBob Squarepants on my home answering machine! Holy cow! Tom Kenny, voice of SpongeBob, fellow Upstater, and all around talented guy donated his services for the auction, and I wound up with a nice greeting and answering machine message.

In order to avoid all of you calling at three in the morning hoping to get my answering machine, I’m posting the messages here. Enjoy!

Wow, I’m still waiting for Selina Kyle or Andrea Beaumount to leave me a personal message!
